INTRODUCTION
Gargoyles have existed for centuries, these carefully crafted creatures have a few uses, but originally they were used for spiritualism and functionality. Gargoyles were originally mounted onto castle barracks roofs and walls, they not only expelled water from the roof like a storm drain, but they were also used for protection from mysterious, invisible invaders. During the middle ages disease and sickness ran rampant through the streets and villages of castles, but since advancements in medicine were minimal, and these microscopic diseases were ignored, instead these ailments were blaimed on evil spirits, curses and magic. In an effort to expell these "ghosts" they would hang gargoyles that were fashioned into a scary, gorey and very intimidating creatures that were thought to be scary enough to make evil run away with their tail between their legs. Today these fine pieces of art are used mostly just for decoration, although some are still used as storm drains and as evil scarers I would suppose. And now I will attempt to create one of these monstrocities... Let's see how this will pan out.
