1. My Inspiration- My inspiration for this project was one that was pretty important to me, and that is the importance of architectural design, and utilization in art. Frank Lloyd Wright is by far my favorite architect of all time so I created these two drawings in recognition of his excellence. The pottery I created symbolized the art deco style of his generation and of his era.
2. What I like- Both of the sketches were made strictly from memory without looking at a single reference, by doing this I felt I was capable of showing how memorable the architecture created by Frank Lloyd Wright really is. I really enjoy the shading I was able to execute by using line and cross hatch the way I used the pen for shading was really well executed in my mind.
3. What I would like to Improve- If I had the chance I would change some minute details on the pen sketch, there were a few instances where the shading I made was not realistic to true shading effects, albeit it was still created from memory which again is pretty cool.
