Reflection
1. I thought the project as a whole was a major success and it feels really good to have done it well, It all looks very good and I am very suprised by my work, never would have thought I could make something this nice.
2. I think I could have done a lot of things better, firstly I would have made sure that it wouldn't break into pieces five times before I finished, or even more important I would have made sure that I had more detail and even more to look at.
3. The project is a fish leaping out of the water, It looks really good, but it is rather large, it is about 12 inches wide 9 inches long and about 8 inches tall, so to give you an idea it is about the size of a shoe box.
4. It has a purpose to a point, It is mainly for looks, but it will hold anything that is smaller than a billfold, and it could probably hold keys or pens... The posibilities are quite vast.
5. The rhythm of my project is varying, I have scales on the fish which is pattern, I have folds in the water and ripples on the surface which in a way is rhythm, but there is no pattern in my project that I know of.
6. I learned a very important lesson that I learn time and time again, patience and perseverance, these lessons are especially important in clays and ceramics and though it was a lot of fun it was definitely a bugger.
7. This project was in a way sort of planned but in the same sense, it was kind of a do as you go sort of deal, I basically rolled with the punches and just made what the clay gave me. It was a pinch vessels mixed with a bunch of slabs such as the fins and the tail, and the rolling of the water.
8. This was worthwhile project and was definitely a lot of fun and was a learning experience, this was a perfect first project due to the fact that we were really able to do whatever and experiment with a lot of different strategies and styles.
